Senior Patrol Leader

Assistant Senior Patrol Leader

  1. Preside at all troop meetings, events, activities and annual program planning conferences 
  2. Chair the Patrol Leaders Council 
  3. Appoint boy leaders with the advice and consent of the Scoutmaster
  4. Assign duties and responsibilities to other youth leaders. 
  5. Work with the scoutmaster in training youth leaders. 
  6. Wear the Scout uniform correctly.
  7. Live by the Scout Oath and Law. 
  8. Show and help develop Scout Spirit. 
  9. Set a good example.

Assistant Senior Patrol Leader

  1. Be responsible for training and giving direct leadership to the following appointed youth leaders: Historian, OA Representative, Scribe, Librarian, Instructor, Quartermaster, and Chaplain Aid.
  2. Help lead meetings and activities as called upon by the senior patrol leader. 
  3. Guide the troop in the senior patrol leader's absence. 
  4. Perform tasks assigned by the senior patrol leader. 
  5. Function as a member of the Patrol Leaders Council. 
  6. Wear the Scout uniform correctly.
  7. Live by the Scout Oath and Law.
  8. Show and help develop Scout Spirit. 
  9. Set a good example.

  1. Function like an Assistant Scoutmaster (except for leadership responsibilities reserved for adults 18 years of age or older) 
  2. Follows the guidance of the Scoutmaster by providing mentorship, support and supervision to other youth leaders in the troop.
  3. Accomplish any duties assigned by the Scoutmaster. 
  4. Wear the Scout uniform correctly. 
  5. Live by the Scout Oath and Law. 
  6. Show and help develop Scout Spirit. 
  7. Set a good example.

  3. Assign each patrol member a task and help them succeed. 
  4. Represent the patrol at all Patrol Leaders Council meetings and the annual Program Planning Conference. 
  5. Prepare the patrol to take part in all troop activities.
  6. Show and help develop patrol spirit. 
  7. Work with other troop leaders to make the troop run well. 
  8. Know what patrol members and other leaders can do. 
  9. Wear the Scout uniform correctly. 
  10. Live by the Scout Oath and Law. 
  11. Set a good example.

  1. Help the Patrol Leader plan and lead patrol meetings and activities.
  2. Help the Patrol Leader keep patrol members informed.

  5. Represent the patrol at all Patrol Leaders Council meetings in the Patrol Leaders absence.

  1. Attend and keep a log of Patrol Leaders Council meetings. 
  2. Record attendance and dues payments of all troop members. 
  3. Record advancement in troop records and on the troop team advancement chart. 
  4. Work with the appropriate troop committee members responsible for finance records and advancements. 
  5. Handle correspondence appropriately.
  6. Set a good example 
  7. Wear the Scout uniform correctly.
  8. Live by the Scout Oath and Law. 
  9. Show and help develop Scout Spirit.

  1. Keep records of patrol and troop equipment. 
  2. Keep equipment in good repair. 
  3. Keep the equipment storage area neat and clean. 
  4. Issue equipment and see that it is returned in good order. 
  5. Suggest new or replacement items. 
  6. Work with the troop committee member responsible for equipment. 
  7. Wear the Scout uniform correctly. 
  8. Live by the Scout Oath and Law.
  9. Show and help develop Scout Spirit. 
  10. Set a good example.

  1. Keep troop leaders apprised of religious holidays when planning activities. 
  2. Assist the Troop Chaplain or religious coordinator in meeting the religious needs of troop members while on activities. 
  3. Encourage saying Grace at meals while camping or on activities. 
  4. Lead worship services on campouts. 
  5. Tell troop members about their religious emblems program for their faith. 
  6. Wear the Scout uniform correctly.
  7. Live by the Scout Oath and Law. 
  8. Show and help develop Scout Spirit. 
  9. Set a good example.
